Definitions
- Rear/Front Dormer
- All new loft conversions need maximum walking space inside. One of the most common ways that this can be achieved is by adding a projection called a dormer. Whether it is a bedroom, en suite bathroom, playroom or home office Pinnacle Loft Conversions will tailor the design of the dormer to your particular needs creating the optimum space for you and your home.
- Side Dormer
- If your house is Semi-detached with a ‘hip-ended' sloping roof at the side it may be necessary to add a side dormer. This will provide much needed headroom above the new staircase. Pinnacle Loft Conversions will suggest a design for this extension which is sympathetic to the style of your house.
- Hip to Gable
- A ‘hip to gable' conversion is an alternative to a side dormer. Your decision on this can be assisted by our qualified Surveyor who will explain the various benefits of each possible solution.
- Mansard Roofs
- On occasions some Local Authorities may prefer your home to undergo this type of conversion. It involves the roof angle being altered to 70 degrees in order to create the maximum possible space. The exterior finish is matched to the existing roof to provide your home with a seamless transformation. Due to the maintenance-free materials that we at Pinnacle Loft Conversions use there is very little upkeep required, giving you peace of mind for the future.
- Staircases
- Your new staircase will be specially designed by us to match your existing one and fit in perfectly with the style of your home. Whatever the layout of your home, Pinnacle Loft Conversions will design a staircase that will become an admired and attractive feature.
- Bathrooms and Shower Rooms
- The days of a second bathroom in the house being an indulgence for the fortunate few are long gone. Increasingly popular is the bath/shower room addition. Whether an en suite as part of a master bedroom extension or for shared family use (to reduce queuing at busy times of day!) they add comfort, convenience and value to any home. In fact many Estate Agents will recommend that a home has one bathroom for every three bedrooms. - Lighting

- A centrally-heated loft room comes as standard with each and every one of our conversions. Your new, thermostatically controlled radiators are connected to your existing central heating boiler, providing you with warmth whenever you wish.
